Wildnismentors on winter Friluftsliv
In January 2023 EWM course partcipants and their two German mentors experienced winter outdoors in Northern Dalarna together with four Swedish Friluftsliv mentors of Sjöviks Folkhögskola. As you can see in the film we were treated with fantastic weather and severe frosty conditions. At the cabin camp Nysätersvallen we practiced skiing, went on a longer day trip, learnt how to build and sleep in a quincy and spent two nights outside in the snow. Orienteering in winter meant even more to rely on map and compass as well as landmarks. Our initial programme needed to be adapted to suit the group´s needs under challenging winter conditions. That mobility funded by Erasmus+ programme was a rewarding learning opportunity for each participant.
