Wildnismentor on Färd
We have just returned from a three week Frisluftsliv Färd hosted again by Sjöviks Folkhögskola. This time we paddled Dalälven closer to the sea where the river makes an archipleago of lakes. We never would have guessed it necessary to use map and compass for orienteering on a river. The second week we lived at the Fäbod Nysätersvallen like in the olden days, crafting, cooking on the fire. Day hikes to the waterfall and into Vedungen Naturreservat prepared us for the big hike in the last week which we did in Städjan-Nipfjället Naturreservat. Everything was well prepared by our Swedish mentors, big thanks to all of you and Sjöviks Folkhögskola.
